Many people fall to the delusion that addiction only happens to people who live in certain parts of the country or have specific backgrounds. However, the truth of the matter is that many people who are addicts can be hiding their issues and so it is only from the outside appearance that they look like they’re living a normal life. Together, we can help raise awareness about addiction and help those who are struggling. Addiction is a legitimate illness, and when more people talk about addiction and recovery, more people can begin to get the help that they so desperately need.
